Will this fit my Tesla?
Yes. The thread is universal and matches the factory valve stem, so it fits every Tesla — Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L — and most other cars too.
What problem does it actually solve?
Tesla wheel covers sit over the valve stem and leave it in a tight recess. A pump nozzle won't seat properly, so you end up pulling the cover off just to check your pressures. The 39mm extension brings the valve out past the cover, so the nozzle clips on first time.
Do I have to take the wheel covers off?
No — that's the whole point. Once the extension is fitted, your covers stay on for good. No unclipping, no scratched paint, no chasing a clip across the driveway.
How do I fit it?
By hand, in a few seconds per wheel. Unscrew the original valve cap, screw the extension onto the exposed stem until it's finger-tight, then put the cap on the end of the extension. No tools, no jacking the car up.
Will it leak?
Not if it's done up properly. Tighten it firmly by hand, then check with a soapy-water spray on the joint — no bubbles means you're sealed. Give it a quick look at your next pressure check as well, the same as you would any valve.
Does it affect my TPMS?
No. The pressure sensor sits inside the wheel, not in the valve stem, so the extension doesn't touch it. Your dash readings carry on exactly as before.
Is it safe at motorway speed?
Yes. At 39mm it's short and light, so it won't unbalance the wheel or work itself loose. It's designed to sit flush behind the cover, not stick out into harm's way.
Can I still use it at a petrol station air pump?
Yes. It works with any standard pump nozzle — service station, home compressor or a foot pump. That's the difference: the nozzle now reaches the valve without a fight.
How many do I need?

Can I take it off later?
