Tesla wheel covers look sharp, but they make the valve stem hard to reach. Fighting a pump nozzle in a tight recess turns a two-minute job into a frustrating one. This 39mm tyre valve extension brings the valve out past the cover for easy access. Just screw it on, top up your tyres, then remove it. No unclipping wheel covers, no bent fingers.
Key Features
- 39mm extension: brings the valve out past the wheel cover, so any standard pump nozzle connects first time.
- Fits all Tesla models: Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L, with a universal thread that matches the factory valve stem.
- Tool-free fitting: screws onto the existing stem by hand in seconds.
- Made for quick top-ups: fit it while you pump, then unscrew it and keep it in the glovebox for next time.
- No wheel cover removal: check and top up tyre pressure without unclipping or scratching your wheels.
Which Tesla does the Tyre Extension Valve fit?
The Tessories Tyre Extension Valve fits the Model 3 (2019–2027), Model Y (2022–2027) and Model Y L (2026–2027). Its universal thread matches the factory valve stem, so it screws straight on by hand.
How does the Tyre Extension Valve make it easier to pump up tyres with wheel covers on?
The Tyre Extension Valve adds 39 mm of length to the valve stem, bringing it out past the wheel cover. Instead of fighting a pump nozzle in a tight recess, you connect to the extension in the open. That turns a fiddly tyre top-up back into a quick, two-minute job.
Do I have to remove the wheel covers to check tyre pressure?
Not with a valve extension. Without one, the valve stem sits deep behind the wheel cover, and many owners end up unclipping the cover to reach it, which risks scratching the wheels. The Tessories Tyre Extension Valve brings the valve out 39 mm past the cover, so you can check and top up tyre pressure with the wheel covers left in place.
Does the Tyre Extension Valve work with any tyre pump?
Yes. The Tyre Extension Valve brings the valve 39 mm out past the wheel cover, so any standard pump nozzle connects first time. That includes the pumps at service stations and home tyre inflators. It works on the Model 3, Model Y and 6-seat Model Y L, where the wheel covers make the valve stem hard to reach.
How do you fit the Tyre Extension Valve?
No tools needed. Remove the valve cap, then screw the Tyre Extension Valve onto the existing valve stem by hand, which takes just a few seconds. Connect your pump nozzle to the end of the extension and top up the tyre as normal, with no unclipping of wheel covers and no bent fingers.
Should I leave the Tyre Extension Valve on after topping up my tyres?
No, it's made for quick top-ups. Fit the Tyre Extension Valve while you pump, then unscrew it and keep it in the glovebox for next time. Because it goes on and off by hand in seconds, it's always ready whenever your Model 3, Model Y or 6-seater Model Y L needs air.
